Giorgio Petrosyan’s loss to Petchmorrakot Petchyindee has been overturned to a no-contest, ONE Championship CEO Chatri Sityodtong announced on his social media on Wednesday.

Petrosyan originally lost a close decision to Petchyindee last Friday in Singapore, with Petchyindee advancing to the ONE kickboxing tournament semifinal. After “an official review”, the promotion has changed the result.

“ONE Championship has conducted an official review of the controversial bout between Giorgio Petrosyan and Petchmorrakot Petchyindee at ONE: Enter The Dragon in Singapore,” Sityodtong wrote. “In fairness to all parties, the ONE Competition Committee has formally declared the bout a no contest. The referee did not adequately control the illegal clinching, resulting in multiple infractions during the bout.”

According to Sityodtong, Petrosyan (99-2-2-2) and Petchyindee (159-34-2-1) will meet again for a quarterfinal bout.
