Is there anything Mansour Barnaoui didn’t win on Saturday?
The 26-year-old Frenchman was the last man standing at Road FC 53, which took place on Jeju Island in South Korea. Barnaoui defeated reigning champion Kwon A-Sol (21-11) by first-round rear-naked choke submission to become the promotion’s lightweight champion and earn a $1,000,000 prize. He’d earned the shot at A-Sol by defeating Shamil Zavurov in February to win a 16-man tournament that began back in July 2017.

Barnaoui (19-4) remained unbeaten in six appearances for Road FC and spoiled A-Sol’s return to action from a 29-month hiatus.
In the co-main event, heavyweight sluggers Aorigele (8-3, 1 NC) and Heo Jae-Hyeok (1-2) delivered the goods, trading haymakers for all of the 50 seconds that their fight lasted.

It was Aorigele who would triumph, winning his sixth straight bout. Jae-Hyeok was stepping in as a short-notice replacement for an injured Jerome LeBanner.
