Cosmo Alexandre faceplants Sage Northcutt with one-punch knockout at ONE Championship

Sage Northcutt’s ONE Championship debut didn’t go as he expected.

The former UFC fighter signed with the Asian promotion after leaving the Octagon on a three-fight winning streak, and was matched-up against dangerous Brazilian striker Cosmo Alexandre in a welterweight bout (185 pounds).

All Alexandre needed was to land one punch, though, faceplanting Northcutt with a right hand only 29 seconds into the opening round. Alexandre, a Bellator veteran who hadn’t fought under MMA rules since Sept. 2016, now holds an 8-1 record in the sport with eight straight wins.
