Another exciting light heavyweight contest was added to UFC Stockholm, as Jimi Manuwa battles for redemption against rising talent Aleksandar Rakic, the promotion announced Thursday.
Manuwa (17-5) entre the cage coming off three straight losses in the Octagon, stoppage defeats to Volkan Oezdemir and Thiago Santos and a decision to Jan Błachowicz. Prior to that, “Poster Boy” had back-to-back knockout wins over Corey Anderson and Ovince Saint Preux.
Rakic (11-1) hasn’t lost since his professional MMA debut in 2011, quickly going 3-0 under the UFC banner with unanimous decision wins over Francimar Barroso and Justin Ledet before stopping Devin Clark in the first round with a spinning back fist last December.
UFC Stockholm airs live on ESPN+ streaming service and features Alexander Gustafsson vs. Anthony Smith in the main event. The Fight Night card will take place at the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
