Just two months after last UFC fight, Macy Chiasson will step into the Octagon once more.
The Ultimate Fighter 28 featherweight winner will step in as a short-notice replacement for TUF housemate Leah Letson to fight Sarah Moras in a bantamweight bout at UFC Ottawa on May 4 at Canadian Tire Centre , the promotion announced Wednesday. No reason was given for Letson’s withdrawal.
Chiasson won the TUF 28 featherweight tournament with a second-round submission of Invicta FC vet Pannie Kianzad at that show’s finale last November, then dropped down to 135 pounds to fight Gina Mazany at UFC 235 in March. She defeated Mazany by first-round TKO to improve to 4-0 as a professional.
Moras (5-4), a TUF 18 alumna who hails from Sechelt, British Columbia, was winless in 2018 after dropping back-to-back unanimous decisions to Talita Bernardo and Lucie Pudilova. She has a 2-3 UFC record.
UFC Ottawa will be headlined by a lightweight bout between Al Iaquinta and Donald Cerrone, with the main card airing on the ESPN+ streaming service.
