Talita Bernardo has a new opponent for UFC 237.

The Brazilian bantamweight was scheduled to fight Jessica-Rose Clark in the preliminary portion of the pay-per-view card in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on May 11, but Melissa Gatto has stepped up after an injury sidelined Clark. MMA Fighting confirmed a report from Combate with multiple sources.

Gatto (6-0-2) fought for the last time in Sept. 2018, submitting Karolline Rosa at Cris Cyborg’s MMA event in Brazil. The 23-year-old prospect scored four of her professional wins by first-round submission.

Bernardo (6-3) had a rough start in the UFC, losing back-to-back decisions to Marion Reneau and Irene Aldana, but bounced back with a decision victory over Sarah Moras last October. Like Gatto, Bernardo’s MMA record includes four first-round submission wins.

UFC 237 will take place at the Jeunesse Arena in Rio de Janeiro and features Rose Namajunas versus Jessica Andrade for the strawweight championship as the main event.
