Paul Craig’s next matchup will be against an opponent who also has a nose for the finish.
Officials announced that Craig and Alonzo Menifield have been booked for a light heavyweight bout on June 29 at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
In six UFC appearances, Scotland’s Craig (11-3) has developed a reputation for comeback finishes and he has picked up Performance of the Night bonuses in each of his three Octagon victories. He most recently defeated Kennedy Nzechukwu by submission with less than a minute remaining in the third round at UFC Philadelphia this past March.
Menifield, a contract winner from Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, is unbeaten in eight pro bouts so far. He made a successful Octagon debut at UFC Brooklyn, defeating Vinicius Moreira by first-round TKO.
UFC Minneapolis will be headlined by a welterweight rematch between former champions Tyron Woodley and Robbie Lawler, with the main card airing live on ESPN.
