Nick Hein needs a new opponent for UFC Stockholm, as lightweight Luigi Vendramini announced on social media he has been forced out of the June 1st card in Sweden with a knee injury.
”The Italian Stallion” revealed he tore his meniscus and will undergo surgery in Brasilia, Brazil.
Vendramini (8-1) was looking to get back on the winning column after suffering his first loss in MMA to Elizeu Zaleski in his Octagon debut in September.
Hein (14-4-1, 1 no contest) suffered back-to-back defeats to Davi Ramos and Damir Hadzovic after almost two years sidelined. “Sergeant” won four of his first five UFC bouts between 2014 and 2016.
UFC Stockholm will be headlined by a light heavyweight showdown between former title challengers Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Smith at the Ericsson Globe Arena.
