Leonardo Santos will finally enter the Octagon in June. The UFC announced on Tuesday that the Nova Uniao fighter will meet Stevie Ray at the Fight Night card in Stockholm, Sweden, on June 1.

Santos (16-3-1) hasn’t fought since October of 2016, when he defeated Adriano Martins via decision. UFC Stockholm will happen 967 days after that win in Manchester. The 39-year-old Brazilian has dealt with many injuries over the pas few years.

Winner of the second season of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil as a welterweight, Santos is unbeaten over the last 11 fights, including stoppage wins over Kevin Lee and Anthony Rocco Martin.

Ray (22-8) enters the cage coming off a decision win over Jessin Ayari at UFC Moncton, bouncing from defeats to Paul Felder and Kajan Johnson. The Scottish lightweight, a former Cage Warriors lightweight champion, racked up a 6-3 record since joining the UFC in 2015.

UFC Stockholm airs live on ESPN+ and features Alexander Gustafsson vs. Anthony Smith in the main event.
