Entering the Octagon at UFC 236, Dustin Poirier and Israel Adesanya oozed confidence as they made their way through the crowd in Atlanta.
In the co-main event, Adesanya looked to capture the interim UFC middleweight title and silence his critics against the durable Kelvin Gastelum. Twenty-five minutes later, fans witnessed a bloody Adesanya hoist gold, voicing their admiration along the way
Poirier, on the other hand, stood across the Octagon against featherweight champion Max Holloway. Proving his first victory over the young Hawaiian was no fluke, Poirier put on the performance of a lifetime as he bloodied Holloway en route to capturing the interim UFC lightweight championship.
