Felice Herrig vs. Yan Xiaonan verbally agreed for UFC 238

Felice Herrig and Yan Xiaonan have agreed to meet in a strawweight contest at UFC 238, multiple sources told MMA Fighting. The match-up was first reported by Combate.

UFC 238 is scheduled for June 8 and takes place at the United Center in Chicago.

Herrig (14-8) will attempt to get back on track following decisions losses to Karolina Kowalkiewicz and Michelle Waterson in 2018. Prior to that, “Lil Bulldog” scored consecutive wins against Kailin Curran, Alexa Grasso, Justine Kish and Courtney Casey.

Xionan (10-1, 1 no-contest), who is unbeaten over the last nine bouts, holds a perfect 3-0 record since joining the UFC in 2017, getting decision victories over Curran, Viviane Pereira and Syuri Kondo.

Three other female bouts are currently booked for UFC 238, including a flyweight title bout between 125-pound queen Valentina Shevchenko and Jessica Eye. Tatiana Suarez vs. Nina Ansaroff and Katlyn Chookagian vs. Joanne Calderwood are also official for the pay-per-view event.
