A middleweight clash between Antonio Carlos Junior and Ian Heinisch has been added to UFC Rochester, multiple sources confirmed to MMA Fighting following a report by Combate. Both fighters have verbally agreed but contracts are yet to be signed.

The Fight Night card is set to take place at the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, N.Y., on May 18 and feature a welterweight bout between Rafael dos Anjos and Kevin Lee in the main event.

Winner of the TUF Brazil 3 season as a heavyweight, Junior (10-2, 1 no-contest) is riding a five-fight winning streak under the UFC banner, including four rear-naked choke finishes against Tim Boetsch, Jack Marshman, Eric Spicely and Leonardo Guimaraes.

Heinisch (12-1) made his Octagon debut in November, when he defeated TUF Brazil 1 middleweight winner Cezar Ferreira via decision at UFC Buenos Aires. The former interim LFA titleholder signed with the UFC after stopping Justin Sumter at Dana White’s Contender Series last July.
