The UFC will host its sixth event in the Stockholm, Sweden on June 1.

The promotion announced the event via press release Saturday. Tickets are scheduled to go on sale for the event on Apr. 5.

The last time promotion hosted an event in the Swedish capital, national frontrunner Alexander Gustafsson put on a striking clinic against fellow top contender Glover Teixeira. “The Mauler” stopped the fight with a trio of uppercuts before landing a haymaker that finished the hard-hitting Brazilian in the fifth round of their clash.

Sweden is home to other prominent UFC fighters like Ilir Latifi, former Cage Warriors champion Jack Hermansson and brothers Daniel Teymur and David Teymur.

“We’re delighted to be returning to Sweden. Our Scandinavian fans are fantastic and have always shown up in their thousands to support their own local hero’s. There is such strength and depth in our pool of Swedish talent and we’re sure they’ll put on a show not to be missed in June,” stated UFC Senior Vice President, International and Content, David Shaw, according to the press release.
