Misha Cirkunov needs a new foe for UFC’s upcoming pay-per-view event in March after Ovince Saint Preux has pulled out of the contest due to an injury, multiple sources told MMA Fighting.

Cirkunov, 14-4 as a professional fighter, is coming off a first-round submission victory over Patrick Cummins in October, bumping his Octagon record to 5-2. Cirkunov’s other UFC wins came in stoppages against Nikita Krylov, Ion Cutelaba, Alex Nicholson and Daniel Jolly.

Saint Preux went 1-2 under the UFC banner in 2018, with a first-round submission against Tyson Pedro sandwiched by defeats to Ilir Latifi and Dominick Reyes. It’s still unclear how long OSP will be sidelined from action.

UFC 235 is scheduled for March 2 in Las Vegas and features a pair of championship bouts. In the light heavyweight division, Jon Jones puts his title on the line against Anthony Smith, while welterweight king Tyron Woodley faces Kamaru Usman.
