Bellator has secured a U.K. television broadcast deal for its European series, which kicks off with Bellator Newcastle this Saturday night.
At Wednesday’s press conference, the promotion announced an exclusive partnership with U.K. broadcaster Channel 5, which will see all six of Bellator’s European series events for 2019 broadcast live.
David Green, head of Bellator Europe, claimed that we can expect “big production shows” to hit a number of major cities across the continent.
Although there has been no announcement as to whether the U.K. audiences will be able to watch Bellator’s American broadcasts live, president Scott Coker insisted that Feb. 16 meeting between U.K. welterweights Paul Daley vs. Michael Page will be broadcast live in the region.
Sky customers in Ireland can access Channel 5, but it is not available to Virgin Media customers in the region.
