UFC 235 will only have 12 fights Saturday night.
A bantamweight contest between Marlon Vera and Frankie Saenz has been canceled over an “illness” to Vera, according to UFC officials Wednesday.
The bout was scheduled for the UFC Fight Pass portion of the card.
Update: Vera took to Twitter to give his side about what happened.
Damn it hurts to won’t be able to fight this Saturday. Dr told me there’s no way to cut the weight like that, I’ll rest up recovery and go Back to work. Thanks to my supporters
