Thiago Santos continues to put the UFC light heavyweight division on notice.
Entering the Octagon against Jan Blachowicz in the main event of UFC Prague, the Brazilian looked to prove his recent success in his new weight class was no fluke. A little over two rounds into their contest on Saturday afternoon, Santos not only silenced his doubters but did so in violent fashion as he sparked Blachowicz with a crisp counter against the fence.
Check out the reaction to Santos’s victory below, plus the best of the rest from an action-packed card inside O2 Arena.
Thiago Santos def. Jan Blachowicz
Thiago is so damn explosive
— Curtis Blaydes (@RazorBlaydes265) February 23, 2019
Wow the hammer is real
— Belal Muhammad (@bullyb170) February 23, 2019
Underhook to a single would of kept him in the fight. #UFCPrague
— Michael Chiesa (@MikeMav22) February 23, 2019
The ref gave Blachowicz every chance to recover but he was not having it. Covered up and showed that he was done fighting. What a shot from Santos that had to be! #UFCPrague
— Aljamain Sterling (@FunkMaster_UFC) February 23, 2019
Damn! The power #UFCPrague
— Tatiana Suarez (@TSPMMA115) February 23, 2019

Stefan Struve def. Marcos Rogerio de Lima
Nice comeback by Struve it was looking rough first round #UFCPrague
— Curtis Blaydes (@RazorBlaydes265) February 23, 2019
Struve continues to work his ground game and pulls off a triangle choke, while still in half-mount, for the sub win. #ufcprague pic.twitter.com/bjT7gD2SB9
— The Mane Event™ (@EliasTheodorou) February 23, 2019
Always love a Struve fight
— Belal Muhammad (@bullyb170) February 23, 2019
Awesome fight big man @StefanStruve!! Way to go champ!! Time to live the good life #ufc #UFCPrague
— Nik Lentz (@NikLentz) February 23, 2019
Struve says this may be his last fight, but isn't 100% on it. Is going to think on it. Win or lose, always liked seeing Struve in there. #ufcprague pic.twitter.com/o8izU1PnN0

Michal Oleksiejczuk def. Gian Villante
Fuck
— Aljamain Sterling (@FunkMaster_UFC) February 23, 2019
What a body shot! Not often you set that utilized in open stance #UFCPrague
— Jeremy Kennedy (@JeremyKennedyWC) February 23, 2019
And just like that Ole hits the perfect liver shot and Gian is done. Wow. #UFCPrague pic.twitter.com/UacmOPWrO9

Liz Carmouche def. Lucie Pudilova
Just popped it on before Gian’s fight. For Liz how do you get to mount but leave her with her feet dug in the cage. That’s her only chase to bridge and sweep. Have to get head to the cage .
— Chris Wade (@CWadeMMA) February 23, 2019
Pudilova really likes that axe kick, but gets rushed throwing one and is now down. #ufcprague pic.twitter.com/b3W8FTb6ro
— The Mane Event™ (@EliasTheodorou) February 23, 2019
It's a cliche, but while Pudilova will lose this one, she'll learn a great deal from going three rounds with someone like Carmouche, in terms of toughness and tenacity. #UFCPrague pic.twitter.com/kXeVLk1Gbf
— The Mane Event™ (@EliasTheodorou) February 23, 2019
Can’t believe they robbed that girl against Carmouche smh #UFCPrague
— Curtis Blaydes (@RazorBlaydes265) February 23, 2019
Petr Yan def. John Dodson
Yan is an emotionless killing machine!!! #UFCPrague pic.twitter.com/wufJrPTmBu
— The Mane Event™ (@EliasTheodorou) February 23, 2019
Dodson drops Yan, while Dodson's hair goes full Sho'nuff. #ufcprague pic.twitter.com/0MNadF6RdE
— The Mane Event™ (@EliasTheodorou) February 23, 2019
Peter Yan is an animal. @dannyrube #UFCPrague
— Scott Holtzman (@HotSauceHoltzy) February 23, 2019
Save for Dodson's brief offence where he caught and dropped Yan, Yan pretty much owned the entire fight. #UFCPrague pic.twitter.com/IwS11oGcKp
— The Mane Event™ (@EliasTheodorou) February 23, 2019
Wow Petr Yan is a dirty fighter #UFCPrague
— Cub Swanson (@CubSwanson) February 23, 2019
Petr Yan is definitely a contender. That kid is good everywhere #UFcPrague
— Chris Camozzi (@ChrisCamozzi) February 23, 2019
No mercy is a good nickname for that man. He is a killer! #UFCPrague
— Tatiana Suarez (@TSPMMA115) February 23, 2019
Yan looked good. I’ve been keeping an eye on Mr No Mercy! Our paths may cross in the future but right now I got my eyes on a Number 1 contender fight! #Bantamweights #UFCPrague
— Aljamain Sterling (@FunkMaster_UFC) February 23, 2019
Magomed Ankalaev def. Klidson Abreu
Anka just smushed Abreu's nose. #UFCPrague pic.twitter.com/yhNICaPiiL
— The Mane Event™ (@EliasTheodorou) February 23, 2019
