Johnny Walker is well on his way to stardom.
The charismatic Rio de Janeiro light heavyweight burnished his burgeoning reputation on Saturday night with a quick and spectacular finish of Justin Ledet on the main card of UFC Fortaleza. Walker got the TKO victory in just 15 seconds.
“I want to fight again,” Walker said. “I want to fight again tonight.”
Walker through a push kick, connected on a hook kick to the jaw, then landed a spectacular spinning-back fist which dropped Ledet. Walker went to through a kick to the downed Ledet which fortunately for Walker’s sake missed, then started landing right hands until the bout was quickly waved off.
With that, Walker is now 16-3, with 15 career stoppages, and both of his UFC victories are first-round stoppages.
“I’m ready, whoever wants to fight me, Russians, Americans, I don’t care. ... I do what I love I was born to do this and I do this for everyone here.”
Ledet is now on a two-fight losing streak after winning his first three UFC fights.
