Cezar Ferreira is out of his next fight.

The veteran middleweight announced on Instagram that an injury to his right knee has forced him to withdraw from his upcoming bout with Tom Breese at UFC London on March 16.

Ferreira’s post includes a message for his fans in both English and Portuguese as well as video of his knee being treated.

“Hello everyone, unfortunately I won’t be able to compete in UFC London on March 16, I injured my right knee and because of that I won’t be able to train for the next three weeks,” Ferreira wrote. “So, I won’t have enough time to prepare myself for this fight. I just want to apologize with all my fans and also my opponent, and soon I will be back stronger than ever. Thank you.”

Ferreira, 33, last fought at UFC Argentina in November, where lost a unanimous decision to Ian Heinisch.

It is not known whether officials will search for a new opponent for Breese or reschedule his bout with Ferreira for another date.
