UFC on ESPN 7 bonuses: Bryce Mitchell cashes in with twister submission, Rob Font vs. Ricky Simon earns Fight of the Night

Bryce Mitchell scored the second twister submission in UFC history and was rewarded handsomely for it.

Joining Chan Sung Jung on a prestigious list, “Thug Nasty” will be leaving Washington, D.C., with an extra $50,000 after netting one of the UFC on ESPN 7 Performance of the Night bonuses for his impressive tap-out of Matt Sayles.

The other Performance of the Night bonus went to Makhmud Muradov. It took Muradov three rounds to find the finish, but when he did, he made his mark with a rollicking knockout of Trevor Smith.

Fight of the Night went to bantamweights Rob Font and Ricky Simon. The two battled back-and-forth for three rounds, with Font coming out on top via unanimous decision.

The reported attendance at Capital One Arena was 10,816 for a gate of $932,593.20.
