KSW is set to return to Lodz, Poland on March 21 with a star-studded cast with fan favorite Mariusz Pudzianowski, welterweight champion Roberto Soldic and former heavyweight champion Karol Bedorf slated for action on the night.
KSW announced the event that will kick off its 2020 schedule during the broadcast of KSW 52: Race on Saturday from Gliwice, Poland, which boasts a catchweight bout between all-time European great Mamed Khalidov and current KSW middleweight champion, Scott Askham, in the main event.
Although no fights have been announced yet, KSW did advertise that Pudzianowski, Soldic and Bedorf would all take part on the night during the event announcement.
A former world champion as a strongman competitor, Pudzianowski (13-7-0, 1 NC) played a huge role in bringing the KSW brand to prominence when he first emerged under the banner in 2009. The 42-year-old recently got back to winning ways with a stoppage win over Erko Jun in the main event of KSW 51 - an event that marked the promotion’s first trip to Croatia.
Soldic (17-3-0) is considered one of the hottest talents in Europe that is currently plying his trade outside of the UFC and Bellator. “Robocop” clinched the title in his promotional debut after stepping up on short notice to face champion Borys Mankowski, who retired from the contest at the end of round three. Soldic has amassed a record of 4-1 since then. He avenged his sole KSW loss to South Africa’s Dricus Du Plessis with a third-round win when they met for a second time at KSW 45 in London, England.
