A light heavyweight showdown between Johnny Walker and Nikita Krylov is agreed for UFC Brasilia on March 14, multiple sources told MMA Fighting. ESPN first reported the news.
The Fight Night card will take place at the Nilson Nelson gymnasium in Brasilia, Brazil, and air live on ESPN+.
Walker (17-4) suffered his first setback in the Octagon in November, losing by first-round knockout to Corey Anderson at UFC 244. Prior to that, the rising 205-pound sensation scored quick finishes against Misha Cirkunov, Justin Ledet and Khalil Rountree.
Krylov (27-6) is also looking to get back to the winning column after losing a thrilling bout to Glover Teixeira in September, the first decision defeat of his career. The Ukrainian talent is 1-2 since returning to the Octagon in 2018, submitting Ovince Saint Preux following a loss to Jan Błachowicz.
Another bout match-up set for the card in Brasilia is Maryna Moroz vs. Mayra Bueno Silva at flyweight, sources confirmed to MMA Fighting following a report by Combate.
Moroz (9-3) most recently fought in March, defeating Sabina Mazo via decision. She withdrew from a planned bout with Poliana Botelho in August due to injury.
Silva (6-0) submitted Gillian Robertson with an armbar with five seconds left in the clock in the opening round in her debut in Sept. 2018, but suffered a serious knee injury during the bout and has since been sidelined.
UFC Brasilia also includes Amanda Ribas vs. Paige VanZant and Antonio Carlos Junior vs. Brad Tavares. The UFC has yet to officially announced the card and its headlining attraction.
