The UFC has announced three new fights for the upcoming card in Auckland, New Zealand including local favorite Kai Kara-France making his return against Tyson Nam.
News of the fight was first announced by Stuff.co in New Zealand.
Kara-France is coming off a three-round battle against Brandon Moreno in his last outing and while he came away with the loss that night, it won’t stop him from fighting close to home on Feb. 22.
Prior to that setback, Kara-France was 3-0 in the UFC including wins over Mark De La Rosa, Raulian Paiva and Elias Garcia.
Now he faces Nam, who will be searching for his first UFC win after falling to Sergio Pettis in a short notice opportunity to join the roster back in September.
Two more fights were also announced via the Sydney Morning Herald including Callan Potter taking on Song Kenan while Jamie Mullarkey will face off with Dana White Contender Series veteran Jalin Turner.
UFC Fight Night from Auckland will be headlined by a lightweight showdown between New Zealand native Dan Hooker as he takes on Paul Felder in a pivotal matchup at 155 pounds.
