Top welterweight prospect Ed Ruth has his first Bellator main event.

Officials announced Monday that Ruth will fight unbeaten Yaroslav Amosov in the welterweight headliner of Bellator 239, which takes place at WinStar World Casino and Resort in Thackerville, Okla., on Feb. 21.

Also announced was the co-main event, a lightweight bout between veteran Brandon Girtz and former UFC standout Myles Jury.

Ruth (8-1) has won two straight bouts since suffering his first pro loss in the quarter-finals of the Bellator Welterweight World Grand Prix to Neiman Gracie. He defeated Kiichi Kunimoto by second-round TKO in July, then followed that with a split nod over Jason Jackson in October. The three-time NCAA Division-I wrestling champion has fought all nine of his pro bouts inside the Bellator cage.

This will also be the first Bellator main event for Amosov, who is a perfect 22-0 in his career including three appearances for Bellator. The 26-year-old Russian’s most recent victories have been over established names in the 170-pound division, David Rickels, Erick Silva, and Gerald Harris.

Girtz (16-8) was victorious in his last outing, defeating Saad Awad by unanimous decision at Bellator 219. He’ll face Jury (18-5), who has lost three straight and four of his last six since January 2015. In his Bellator debut this past September, Jury lost a unanimous decision to Benson Henderson.

The Bellator 239 main card will air live on Paramount Network and the DAZN streaming service.
