A heavyweight clash between Jeff Hughes and Carlos Felipe has been added to UFC's next trip to Ohio on March 28, sources told MMA Fighting.
Hughes (10-3, 1 no-contest), who signed with the company after stopping Josh Appelt by first-round knockout on the Contender Series, has gone winless in the UFC with a no-contest against Todd Duffee and decision defeats to Maurice Greene and Raphael Pessoa.
Felipe (8-0) signed with the UFC in 2017 to face Christian Colombo, but was suspended two years by USADA after failing a drug test. “Boi” was released from the UFC, but re-signed with the company in July.
UFC Columbus will be headlined by a five-round heavyweight contest between one-time title contender Francis Ngannou and undefeated sensation Jairzinho Rozenstruik. The Fight Night card also includes former bantamweight champion Cody Garbrandt against Raphael Assuncao.
