The BMF title fight didn’t go as expected.
The highly anticipated welterweight bout between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz at Saturday’s UFC 244 in New York City ended via doctor’s stoppage. The ringside physician present at Madison Square Garden called the fight to an end at the conclusion of round three due to a cut sustained by Diaz.
The stoppage awarded a technical knockout win to Masvidal and he’s now the BMF champion. At the end of the fight both fighters expressed interest in doing a rematch in their respective post-fight interviews.
