Virna Jandiroba will now face fellow Invicta FC veteran Mallory Martin at UFC on ESPN 7 after Livinha Souza was forced out of the Dec. 7 card with a back injury, multiple sources told MMA Fighting.
The event will take place at the Capital One Arena in Washington, DC.
Martin (6-2) fought for the last time earlier this month, dominating and defeating Cynthia Arceo at Invicta FC 38. That was Martin’s first fight since a decision victory over Micol di Segni at Dana White’s Contender Series in August. The 25-year-old hasn’t lost since going to a decision with Maycee Barber in 2017.
Jandiroba (14-1) was originally booked to face Cortney Casey in D.C., but Souza eventually replaced her. The former Invicta FC 115-pound champion is looking to rebound from the first loss of her professional career via unanimous decision to Carla Esparza in her Octagon debut in April.
UFC on ESPN 7 will be headlined by heavyweight knockout artists Alistair Overeem and Jairzinho Rozenstruik.
