UFC Rio Rancho announced for Feb. 15

The Octagon will soon be back in New Mexico.

Officials announced Monday that the UFC will hold an event at Santa Ana Star Center in Rio Rancho, N.M., on Feb. 15. No bouts have been made official as of yet.

This will be the promotion’s second trip to New Mexico, it’s first since a Fight Night event back on June 7, 2014 that was headlined by a lightweight bout between Ben Henderson and Rustam Khabilov. Also competing on on that main card were New Mexico-based fighters Diego Sanchez and John Dodson.

Rio Rancho is a suburb of Albuquerque, the home of the famed Jackson-Wink MMA team.

Tickets for UFC Rio Rancho will go on sale Dec. 20. The main card will air on the ESPN+ streaming service.
