When welterweight champion Kamaru Usman faces off with Colby Covington at UFC 245, Marc Goddard will be the third man in the Octagon to officiate one of the most heated rivalries in the sport finally coming to a head.

On Wednesday, the Nevada State Athletic Commission selected the referees and judges who will oversee the three title fights headlining UFC 245 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 14. ESPN was first to report the assignments.

Goddard was assigned as the referee to the main event with Derek Cleary, Sal D’Amato and Eric Colon serving as the judges for the five-round welterweight title fight.

Goddard worked Usman’s last fight as well when he defeated Tyron Woodley back in March to become UFC welterweight champion.

Jason Herzog will serve as the referee in the featherweight title fight between reigning champion Max Holloway and top-ranked contender Alexander Volkanovski.

Judges Mike Bell, Junichiro Kamijo and Chris Lee will score Holloway vs. Volkanovski.

Referee Keith Peterson will oversee the action in the bantamweight title fight between Amanda Nunes and Germaine de Randamie. Judges Dave Hagen, Ron McCarthy and Sal D’Amato will score the fight cageside.

The remainder of the referee and judging assignments will be revealed on Dec. 14 at UFC 245 in Las Vegas.
