Flyweights Andrea Lee and Lauren Murphy will clash at a yet-unannounced fight card set for Feb. 8 in Houston.
Multiple sources close to the fighters, who asked for anonymity because the news hasn’t officially been announced, confirmed the news to MMA Fighting.
Lee and Murphy return to the cage on opposite ends of the competitive column in their most recent appearances. Lee is two months removed from a split decision loss to Joanne Calderwood at UFC 242. It was her first octagon setback after three straight wins and just the third overall loss of her professional career.
Murphy, meanwhile, is trending up after an emphatic stoppage in August. She took on Mara Romero Borella at UFC on ESPN 5 and earned a third-round TKO for her third UFC win in seven appearances.
In January, Murphy talked to MMA Fighting about her struggles with the business side of fighting and advised her colleagues to get a good manager.
