Sources close to the situation confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Wednesday following an initial report from MMAJunkie. Details on the injury that forced Condit to pull out of the fight are unknown at this time.
UFC on ESPN 7 takes place at Capitol One Arena on Dec. 7 in Washington D.C.
The Gall matchup was Condit’s latest opportunity to get back in the win column after five straight Octagon losses, including his most recent setback in a submission defeat to Michael Chiesa at UFC 232 this past December.
The UFC is expected to search for a replacement to face Gall, who’s coming off a unanimous decision win over Salim Touahri in his last fight in August.
Gall is 6-2 overall in his career, with all but one fight taking place in the UFC after he initially joined the promotion to face former WWE superstar CM Punk in his Octagon debut.
UFC on ESPN 7 is headlined by a heavyweight showdown between former title contender Alistair Overeem and highly touted prospect Jairzinho Rozenstruik, who accepted the fight on short notice following his first-round knockout win over Andrei Arlovski at UFC 244.
