Israel Adesanya is the new UFC middleweight champion.
The undefeated fighter stopped then champ Robert Whittaker in the second round of their main event at Saturday’s UFC 243 in Melbourne, Australia. With this result, Adesanya put an end to a successful, two-year campaign to the top of the 185-pound division. “The Last Stylebender’s” performance topped a night full of action that had teammate Dan Hooker victorious among many other fighters on the card.
