‘Tito vs. Alberto’ also hosts first-ever Combate Americas women’s title fight

Combate Americas will host its first-ever women’s title fight when it goes live on pay-per-view.

Melissa Martinez is set to take on Desiree Yanez for the inaugural Combate Americas strawweight title at “Tito vs. Alberto,” a spokesperson for the Latino-focused promotion told MMA Fighting.

The Dec. 7 pay-per-view event is headlined by a non-title clash between UFC Hall of Famer Tito Ortiz and Alberto “El Patron” Rodriguez. It takes place at at Payne Arena in McAllen, Texas, and carries a price tag of $39.99.

Martinez’s professional career took off with Combate. Undefeated as a professional, she’s picked up five straight wins, four of which came by stoppage due to strikes.

Just 21, Martinez hopes to become the youngest champ in Combate history.

In the opposite corner is Yanez, who made a successful debut or Combate in June with a win by submission. She carries a 4-1 record as a pro with three wins coming by way of stoppage.

Also announced for the card is a featured catchweight bout featuring Dulce Garcia (1-0) vs. Marisol Ruelas (1-2).
