Demian Maia and Ben Askren were rewarded for their UFC Singapore main event showing, with each fighter leaving the headline bout $50,000 dollars richer after being awarded Fight of the Night.
Maia took a submission win over Askren in the third round of their Saturday meeting at the Singapore stadium - an arena in which Askren had boasted a 3-0 streak before running into the Brazilian.
Beneil Dariush claimed a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for his clinical two-minute performance against Frank Camacho. Dariush showcased his pinpoint striking as Camacho flung himself into exchanges from the first bell. Eventually he took Camacho down and effortlessly transitioned to his back before claiming the finish.
French heavyweight Ciryl Gane was also awarded with a Performance of the Night bonus of $50,000 for his heel hook finish of Don’Tale Mayes in the dying embers of their main card heavyweight meeting. Usually known for his knockout power, the undefeated MMA Factory fighter has now collected two submission wins in as many outings with the UFC.
