The veteran fighter was exonerated by USADA, the UFC’s anti-doping partner, after adverse findings were found in a pre-fight drug test for his highly anticipated bout with Jorge Masvidal for the BMF (Bad Motherf*cker) belt on Nov. 2. Diaz always claimed innocence, which was later backed by USADA’s investigation. The Stockton native will face no punishment from the USAD or the promotion.
Below is how the pros reacted to USADA clearing Nate Diaz:
Yes, sure! Good work @ufc & @usantidoping just 1 day for Nate and took 13 months clear me, making me spend thousands of dollars to prove my innocence don’t give a fuck, for me it’s disgusting the way they treat some of the Fighters. https://t.co/nC3Jt24Ath— Augusto Tanquinho (@tanquinhojj) October 26, 2019
What’s a S.A.R.M and what’s it do?— Louis Smolka (@LASTSAMURAIUFC) October 26, 2019
On the grand scale, yeah, it pisses me off but also makes me happy that others aren't going to get fucked like me, Tom Lawlor, and many others have been.— (@JoshLBarnett) October 26, 2019
But let's see if USADA and the UFC are going to be consistent with this now. It's clearly been all to their discretion so far https://t.co/9bbCkgCCdE

USADA bullied, shoved their weight around, and punished fighters for what they're letting guys off from now.
It wasn't until one guy told them "No fucking way" I'm taking your punishment and beat them in court that things started to change. https://t.co/rwPzfy0cu4
Great to see @USADA_UFC are now able resolve cases in days instead of weeks/months. USADA should be applauded in this upgrade of procedure. Faster resolution of all doping issues is a good thing. pic.twitter.com/zROijN5wbJ— Rock n Rumble (@ElvisSinosic) October 26, 2019

Star power kid.... You’re getting fucked by the system because you move the needle a little not a lot.— Damien Brown (@beatdown155) October 26, 2019
Couple more years and you would’ve been cleared in a week as well https://t.co/TRod2Z8E03
With all this Diaz and USADA stuff going I will say this, USADA is worse than being on probation. I was out with the family one time at Dave and busters and dude made me do a test in the bathroom while everyone was coming in and out watching me poor piss into a glass bottle.— Ray Borg (@tazmexufc) October 26, 2019
Told ya..— Chael Sonnen (@ChaelSonnen) October 26, 2019
USADA has become like the “High Sparrow” in Game of Thrones and are more often than not punishing the wrong people. We’re all for a clean sport but not at the expense of innocent athletes. Cheers to @natediaz209 for taking his stand and checking them.— Brian Butler-Au (@BrianButler_Au) October 26, 2019
