Featherweights Billy Quarantillo and Chris Fishgold will meet at the UFC on ESPN 7 card in Washington, DC, on Dec. 7, the promotion announced on Monday. The Washington Post first reported the news.
Quarantillo (12-2) finally makes his UFC debut after winning five in a row since 2016, capped off by a third-round knockout over Kamuela Kirk at the Contender Series in July. The former TUF 22 alum has finished his last four opponents.
Fishgold (18-3-1) will attempt to get back on track after losing to Makwan Amirkhani in June, tapping to an anaconda choke in Stockholm. The 27-year-old English fighter has a 1-2 record in the Octagon with a submission win over Daniel Teymur sandwiched between stoppage losses to Calvin Kattar and Amirkhani.
UFC’s upcoming event in Washington will be headlined by a heavyweight showdown between former UFC title contender Alistair Overeem and Walt Harris.
