UFC on ESPN 6 live blog: Dominick Reyes vs. Chris Weidman

This is the UFC on ESPN 6 live blog for Dominick Reyes vs. Chris Weidman, a light heavyweight bout at Friday’s UFC event at TD Garden in Boston.

Reyes, who is 5-0 in the UFC and 11-0 in MMA, faces Weidman, a former UFC middleweight champion who has lost four of his last five fights, in the main event.

Round 1: Herb Dean the third man in the cage for this main event. Weidman immediately backing away from Reyes. Weidman takes a kick to the body, then immediately gets a waist lock and a takedown. He can’t do much with it. Weidman maintaining the body lock, Reyes calmly defending. Weidman backs off and they’re back in striking distance. Straight left by Reyes crumples Weidman, he follows up with ground strikes and Weidman goes limp. This one is over.
