Cub Swanson might have to wait a while to capitalize on his latest win.
In the co-main event of UFC Tampa on Saturday, Swanson won a unanimous decision over Kron Gracie to snap a four-fight skid and earn his first victory since April 2017. While that was good news for the veteran featherweight, he provided an update on Tuesday via social media in which he revealed that the bout left him with injuries to his left hand and eyes and that he does not expect to fight again this year.
Update on me :)

Broken left hand & minor scratches in both eyes ♂️ I’m probably not fighting again until next year
Swanson did not provide a specific timetable for his recovery, only pointing to sometime in 2020 as when he is likely to return.
The 35-year-old competed twice in 2019, losing a split decision to Shane Burgos in May before defeating Gracie. Swanson’s pro record now stands at 26-11.
