UFC lightweight Alexander Hernandez was one of three fighters to be issued extended 60-day medical suspensions in the aftermath of UFC Brooklyn.

The New York State Athletic Commission released the event’s finalized medical suspension report to MMA Fighting on Wednesday.

Hernandez suffered a lopsided second-round TKO loss at the hands of Donald Cerrone in the main event of the ESPN-televised prelims at UFC Brooklyn. As a result of damage sustained in the contest, Hernandez will be forced to sit out 60 days before returning to active competition, per commission officials.

The other two fighters who received a similar potential 60-day medical suspension were light heavyweight prospect Karl Roberson, who sustained a first-round submission loss to former title challenger Glover Teixeira on the night’s main card, and Belal Muhammad, who suffered a decision loss to Geoff Neal on the preliminary card.

UFC Brooklyn took place January 19 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The night’s main card aired live on ESPN+.
