Ex-champion Eduardo Dantas needs new opponent for Bellator 215

A main card slot is open at Bellator 215, as Manny Vazquez was forced out of a clash with former bantamweight champion Eduardo Dantas due to an injury, sources told MMA Fighting.

According to a Bellator official, the promotion is seeking a new opponent for “Dudu” for Bellator 215, which is scheduled for Feb. 15 in Uncasville, Conn.

Dantas (20-6) hasn’t fought since July, when he suffered a leg break during a first-round defeat to Michael McDonald. The Nova Uniao bantamweight is looking to get back on track following losses to “Mayday” and Darrion Caldwell.

Bellator 215 airs live on Paramount Network and features Matt Mitrione vs. Sergei Kharitonov in a heavyweight main event.
