The next step in Curtis Millender’s fast rise in the welterweight division is set, as he faces Brazilian striker Elizeu Zaleski at UFC Wichita on March 9, sources confirmed to MMA Fighting following a report by Combate.

Millender (17-3) won three in a row since joining the UFC less than a year ago, knocking out former title contender Thiago Alves before scoring decision victories over Max Griffin and Siyar Bahadurzada.

Zaleski (20-5), who also defeated Griffin via decision in the Octagon, is currently riding a six-fight winning streak in the UFC welterweight division, capped off by spectacular knockouts against Sean Strickland and Luigi Vendramini in 2018.

UFC Wichita takes place at the INTRUST Bank Arena and features Derrick Lewis vs. Junior dos Santos in a five-round main event. The Fight Night event airs live on ESPN+.
