This is the Bellator 206 live blog for Quinton “Rampage” Jackson vs. Wanderlei Silva 4, a heavyweight bout at Saturday’s Bellator event at SAP Center in San Jose, Calif.
Jackson and Silva have fought three times previously, with Silva picking up a pair of knockout wins when they competed in Japan’s Pride promotion, and Jackson gaining a measure of revenge with a KO of his own when the two fought in the UFC. They meet again on the main card.
Both fighters are coming off of unanimous decision losses to Chael Sonnen. Jackson has lost two straight following a five-fight win streak, while Silva has alternated wins and losses in his last seven, competing sporadically since 2009.

Round 1: Mike Beltran on hand to oversee the co-main event. Silva using a pawing jab to keep Jackson at bay. Jackson not throwing much of anything. Silva beckons for him to bring it. Overhand right by Silva. Jab by Jackson, he ducks a Silva punch and lands a big left hook that causes Silva to pause. Jackson backs him up and is leaning on him against the cage. Silva throwing wild, he lands a knee as they separate. Right hand lands for Silva. Jackson stalking, looking to counter. He blocks a high kick, then eats a hard right across the chin. Overhand right again by Silva, Jackson counters with a short left hook and then pushes Silva back against the fence. They break. High kick by Silva, Jackson tries to catch it then bullies Silva on the cage again. Left hook lands for Jackson on the separation, then a body kick. 10 seconds remaining and Jackson taunts Silva from across the cage.

Round 2: Outside leg kick by Silva. Jackson pushing forward, both men throwing hooks like mad men, neither landing clean but it’s Jackson who backs up to the center of the cage. Jab is landing for “Rampage”. Left hook, overhand right by Jackson and Silva is hurt. He clinches up. Jackson briefly goes for the plum, but lets go then avoids a right hook from Silva. They separate and Silva is circling away, Jackson patiently stalking. Another wild exchange, this one seems to be advantage Jackson. He closes with a solid knee to the body. Uppercut inside by Jackson then he backs out of a Silva combination. Jab down the middle by Jackson. Right hand by Jackson drops Silva and he’s firing away with Silva seated against the cage. Silva turtling up and Beltran has to wave this one off.
