The judges and referee have been selected for the Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor grudge match.

Judges Derek Cleary, Sal D’Amato and Junichiro Kamijo will be responsible for scoring and veteran official Herb Dean will oversee the lightweight championship main event of UFC 229, which takes place on Oct. 6 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The assignments were made official at a meeting of the Nevada State Athletic Commission in Las Vegas on Tuesday.

Other referees considered to oversee the Nurmagomedov-McGregor fight were Jason Herzog, Dan Miragliotta, and Chris Tognoni, while Mike Bell, Adelaide Byrd, Dave Hagen, Chris Lee, Marcus Rosales, and Glenn Trowbridge were named as possible recommendations to act as judges.

The committee unanimously agreed on Cleary, D’Amato, Kamijo, and Dean.

Dean will receive $1900 for his services, while the three judges will be paid a fee of $1600 each.
