Veteran lightweight Evan Dunham had previously announced that his last fight would take place at UFC Sao Paulo on Saturday.
The outcome of his battle with Francisco Trinaldo definitely didn’t change his mind.
“Massaranduba” directed a nasty knee into a charging Dunham’s mid-section in the second round, causing Dunham to immediately crumble to the canvas in agony:

No follow-up shots were needed and soon the fight was waved off, giving Trinaldo his sixth win in his last seven opportunities competing in his home country of Brazil. The 40-year-old picked up his first stoppage win since September 2016.
Dunham heads into retirement with his second consecutive knockout loss and an 18-8-1 career record.
