Lisa Spangler is staying busy.
The 22-year-old bantamweight prospect has agreed to step in on short notice to replace an injured Raquel Pa’aluhi opposite Shanna Young at Invicta FC 31 on Sept. 1 at the Scottish Rite Temple in Kansas City, Mo., the promotion announced Wednesday.
Spangler (2-0) made her pro debut with Invicta in May, defeating Sarah Kleczka by unanimous decision. She followed that up with a majority decision win over Kelly Clayton at a CageSport show in July and will now fight for the third time in four months.
She faces the debuting Shanna Young, who has compiled a 4-0 record as a pro primarily fighting for the King of the Cage promotion. In her most recent outing, “The Shanimal” defeated Pam Sorenson by split decision.
A flyweight bout between Miranda Maverick (3-1) and Victoria Leonardo (2-0) was also added Wednesday.
Invicta FC 31 is scheduled to be headlined by a strawweight title bout between champion Virna Jandiroba and challenger Janaisa Morandin.
