Rizin 12 card complete as Yusuke Yachi gets new opponent for main event

Rizin Fighting Federation returns Sunday with a 10-fight event in Nagoya, Japan, and the company’s 12th card is now complete with Luiz Gustavo stepping in to face Yusuke Yachi in a lightweight clash.

Yachi (20-6) was originally booked to face Bruno Carvalho but, as MMA Fighting previously reported, the Brazilian was forced to withdraw from the bout due to an injury.

With Carvalho out, Rizin signed his Evolucao Thai teammate Luiz Gustavo, who holds a perfect 8-0 record in MMA with eight finishes. Yachi currently rides a six-fight winning streak, capped off by a split-decision win over Gustavo’s teammate Diego Nunes in May.

On his social media, Japanese promoter Noboyuki Sakakibara revealed the complete fight card and bout order for Rizin 12.
