UFC 227 video: Marlon Vera stops Wuliji Buren with brutal body shot

Marlon Vera‘s short-notice gamble paid off at UFC 227.

The Ecuadorian fighter defeated his opponent Wuliji Buren via second-round technical knockout. After likely being down on the scorecard, Vera turned up the pace in the final seconds of round two and managed to land a vicious body shot that sent Buren straight to the canvas.

With this win, the 25-year-old Team Oyama product is now 11-5-1 as a professional fighter and 5-4 in the UFC. He also snapped a two-fight skid that came to John Lineker and Douglas Silva de Andrade.
