The card for The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale is set.
A previously announced middleweight bout between undefeated kickboxing expert Israel Adesanya and veteran Brad Tavares will headline Friday’s event at the Pearl Concert Theater in Las Vegas. The main card also features the tournament finals of TUF 27.
At lightweight, Mike Trizano will fight Joe Giannetti, while the featherweight final sees Brad Katona taking on Jay Cucciniello. The winners of each tournament will receive a six-figure UFC contract and the title of TUF champion.
The finale card became official after the last episode of the season aired Wednesday, which saw Cucciniello upset Tyler Diamond, the No. 1 pick of coach Daniel Cormier, via third-round TKO.
The semifinalists in each division will also be competing on the card with Diamond taking on Bryce Mitchell in a featherweight bout, and Allan Zuniga fighting John Gunther at lightweight.
Also from the TUF 27 house, Luis Pena a.k.a. “Violent Bob Ross” will fight SBG Ireland product Richie Smullen. Both fighters suffered injuries during the show that removed them from the competition, with Pena having to withdraw after winning his first fight and Smullen not being able to compete at all.
