A lightweight tilt between Evan Dunham and Francisco Trinaldo is targeted for UFC’s upcoming event in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Sept. 22, multiple sources told MMA Fighting on Monday.

UFC Sao Paulo will take place at the Ibirapuera gymnasium in Sao Paulo, Brazil. The promotion has yet to announce the main event for the Fight Night show.

Both Dunham (18-7-1) and Trinaldo (22-6) are looking to bounce back to the winning track after suffering defeats earlier this year. Dunham lost in 53 seconds to Olivier Aubin-Mercier at UFC 223, while “Massaranduba” lost a decision to James Vick at UFC Austin.

Dunham only lost one of his last six UFC fights. During that run, the 36-year-old lightweight fought to a draw with Beneil Dariush and scored wins over Rick Glenn, Joe Lauzon, Ross Pearson and Rodrigo Damm.

Trinaldo went 1-1 with a win over Jim Miller and a defeat to Vick after he had a seven-fight winning streak snapped by Kevin Lee in March 2017. Trinaldo, who will be 40 by the time he enters the cage, has wins over Paul Felder, Yancy Medeiros and Ross Pearson under his belt.
