Bobby Gunn picked up another win in what must be one of the strangest finishes of his career.
The veteran bare knuckle boxer stopped Irineu Beato Costa Jr. in the inaugural event of Bare Knuckle FC on Saturday night. The event took place at the Cheyenne Ice and Events Center in Cheyenne, Wyo. The 44-year-old Gunn knocked down Beato Costa twice early in the first round. The knockdown appeared to come after Gunn tagged Beato Costa with a left body hook.
Gunn’s finish triggered some controversy online, as it didn’t appear from the broadcast angle that Gunn connected to Tavares’ head before dropping him.
